Workshop Photography

Capturing
Learning & Collaboration

Looking for a workshop photographer? I specialise in documenting workshops, training sessions, creative sessions, and small business events with a natural, documentary-style approach that captures genuine engagement, learning, and interaction.

From hands-on sessions and speaker-led workshops to community learning and team development days, I create imagery that reflects the energy of the room and the value of the experience.

  • Workshops are full of meaningful moments — focused listening, collaboration, note-taking, and real conversations. Professional photography helps you showcase these moments across your website, social media, marketing materials, funding reports, and future event promotion.

For small businesses and organisations in Manchester, having a strong visual record of your workshops builds trust, credibility, and social proof.

  • I regularly work with:

    • Small businesses and startups

    • Creative studios and coworking spaces

    • Community organisations

    • Charities and social enterprises

    • Corporate teams hosting training sessions

    • Event organisers and facilitators

Based in Greater Manchester, but I’m experienced in documenting workshops across venues, studios, offices, and community spaces up and down the country.

  • My workshop photography focuses on authentic storytelling and atmosphere, including:

    • Natural working shots and participation

    • Speaker and facilitator moments

    • Audience engagement and interaction

    • Group discussions and collaboration

    • Close-up details (materials, notes, environment)

    • Venue and atmosphere imagery

These images are ideal for LinkedIn, websites, press features, newsletters, and future workshop promotion.

    • High-resolution edited images

    • Web-optimised files for social media and websites

    • A mix of wide shots, candid moments, and detail imagery

    • Fast turnaround suitable for post-event marketing

  • Workshop photography packages are available for:

    • Half-day workshops

    • Full-day workshops

    • Recurring workshop series

    • Monthly or quarterly content subscriptions

Custom quotes are available depending on duration, location, and usage.

Documentary & Unobtrusive

Workshops require a sensitive and observant approach.

I work quietly in the background, allowing sessions to flow naturally while capturing real, unposed moments. My experience in events, placemaking projects, and community-led sessions means I understand how to photograph people respectfully while highlighting the purpose and impact of the workshop.

  • While I’m based in Greater Manchester, I regularly travel across the North West and throughout the UK for workshops, training sessions, and events. I’m happy to support clients locally and further afield depending on the project.

  • Yes — many clients combine workshop documentation with team portraits or quick headshots.

  • Absolutely. I work with small businesses, organisations, and teams hosting workshops across multiple locations, providing consistent, high-quality imagery for marketing, reports, and ongoing content needs.

Client: PLACED
at RHS Bridgewater

Shaping Spaces Together

Commissioned by PLACED to document a public engagement workshop at RHS Bridgewater, where attendees were invited to share ideas for a new Learning Discovery Space. Using collage, participants selected images of buildings, textures, shapes, and colours to visually explore what the space could become, creating a hands-on and inclusive environment for discussion and creativity.

With a fantastic team and a wide range of participants, the session was a thoughtful example of how workshops can support community-led design and placemaking. My role was to capture natural interactions, collaboration, and the creative process in an unobtrusive, documentary style — producing imagery suitable for reports, stakeholder presentations, and ongoing engagement materials.

Creative writing workshop with Ania Bas 👶

We don't have a problem with boobs at all. We have a problem with babies sucking on nipples, let's be honest here.*

Where have you fed your baby? How do you feel when you're feeding? What unsolicited advice have you been given while feeding? It was so wholesome to photograph such an inspiring room full of amazing mums with such beautiful babies sharing really important conversations!
