PLACED specialises in place education and engagement, developing knowledge and community insights into the built environment. They believe that everyone is an expert when it comes to the places where they live, work or spend time.
By bringing collaboration and diversity to discussions, PLACED create opportunities for quality conversations and genuine engagement, whilst supporting those who are traditionally under-represented in having their voices heard.
PLACED Academy was launched in 2019 to provide free-to-access creative programmes about the built environment for young people from across the Northwest, empowering young people to shape the places we live, work, and spend time.
PLACED Academy Summer School 2024
PLACED Academy 2024-25 kicked off with a four-day summer school young people from across the Northwest on a programme which included a variety of activities about the built environment, designed to tap into their creativity and strengthen interpersonal skills. The cohort undertook interactive games and challenges about the built environment designed to develop their skills and knowledge which they distilled into drawing and modelling activities.
